The Institute for Forensic Medicine at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf houses an extensive collection of preserved specimens. In particular, typical consequences of crimes are presented in the form of bone and tissue preparations. An example of their use is in the training of prospective forensic physicians, where they are used for comparative purposes. Examples of gunshot or blunt trauma injuries also illustrate the effects of various murder weapons. The collection is not open to the public.
Selected objects from this collection will soon be displayed here
